Capacity Building Associate
The Capacity Building Associates (CBA) is available to assist in developing, implementing and executing programs and policies sponsored by the LOCS Collective. The CBA will perform research, grant-writing; assist with soliciting potential and existing sponsors/donors, developing and assembling sponsorship packages, creating program newsletters, social media and website development, and providing general program and administrative support.

Responsibilities and tasks:

Assist with social media content management

Assist with the preparation of marketing/advertising materials and grant proposals
-
Assist in the coordination of participant evaluations and surveys
-
Maintain participants’ files
-
Assemble program orientation packets
-
Organize e-files (Dropbox, Drive)
-
Provide administrative support (Program/Organization minutes, update calendar, etc)
Qualifications:
-
Web development and social media
-
Proven strong written and oral communication skills
-
Grant writing experience
-
Strong interpersonal skills
-
Strong multi-tasking skills and time management
-
Proficient in MS programs including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint
-
Good to advanced computer skills

Marketing Associate
The Marketing Associate will assist in creating and building special projects/social media campaigns, prospect lists, data research, and development of marketing materials. This would be an ideal position for a third or fourth year marketing and/or communications major with an interest in nonprofit management. The internship requires an ability to prepare attractive marketing materials, including sponsorship packages, press releases, maintain contact with media and donor lists, design email promotions, conduct follow-up phone calls. This position is open for fall and spring semester.
